About AI Cabra
A paragraph to reuse as is to introduce AI Cabra.
AI Cabra is an independent collective of software developers and quality engineers. It publishes Robot Framework test automation libraries under the Apache 2.0 license: SAPFX for SAP (SAP GUI, SAP Fiori, OData APIs and RFC) and ODOOFX for Odoo, as well as rf-test-agents, five AI agents that plan, generate, heal, verify and document tests by checking them against the real application. Its method, Spec-Test-Driven Development (STDD), has the specification observed on the real system before the test is derived from it. AI Cabra also runs an R&D program, CabrIA, on a local AI for QA, designed so that data stays with its user.

462 live scenariosAggregate of campaigns validated from 12 July to 13 October 2026 on four real SAP development systems (ABAP Platform 1909 and 2023, an SAP Build Work Zone site, the SAP Business Accelerator Hub sandbox); not one single run, nor a customer system.
3,959 unit testsRun without SAP in continuous integration for release 0.8.5; they check the libraries against local doubles, not a customer SAP system.
95% coveragepytest-cov measurement for release 0.8.5, 85% floor enforced in CI; does not guarantee absence of business defects.
ODOOFX (package robotframework-odoofx) is an open-source Robot Framework library to automate testing of Odoo Community and Enterprise, through the RPC API and through the web UI.
Status
Version 0.2.0 published on PyPI on 13 October 2026, alpha phase: RPC and web channels working, proven live on Odoo 16 and 19; wizards, section and note lines and line deletion not covered yet.
License
Apache 2.0
Key figures
117 live tests on Odoo 16 and 1923 suites played on two development Docker instances between 1 and 13 October 2026: 55 tests on Odoo 16, 62 on Odoo 19. The RPC sales quotation flow (15 suites, 65 tests: creation, confirmation, sending, cancellation and rollback, a salesperson's rights, a stored product, negative cases, run on 1 October); the web client (read-only exploration, entering a contact, entering and confirming a quotation on screen) and ORM introspection (8 suites, 52 tests, run from 8 to 13 October). No customer instance.
0.2.0 published on PyPIPublished on 13 October 2026, after 0.1.0 of 5 October: pip install robotframework-odoofx, Python 3.10 to 3.14, Robot Framework 7.4 or later. Installed from PyPI in a fresh environment, it exposes its 69 keywords. Alpha phase: signatures may still change before 1.0.
69 documented keywordsRPC and web channels and ORM introspection, all documented by Libdoc; the 69th, Create New Quotation, is a skeleton that only warns. XML-RPC up to Odoo 18, JSON-2 from Odoo 19; web client through the Browser library. Not covered: buttons that open a wizard, section and note lines, line deletion.
68 examples replayed in Robot FrameworkEach of the 68 keywords that are not a skeleton carries a usage example, replayed as written in Robot Framework against Odoo 16 on 13 October 2026 (68 of 68, nothing left on the instance). A ledger of fingerprints forbids an example from changing without being replayed. Internal measurement, no customer instance.
849 unit testsMeasured on 13 October 2026 on the development workstation, without Odoo: they check the library against local Odoo doubles, the public export, the repository guards and the ledger of replayed examples, not an Odoo instance.
19 end-to-end checks through rf-mcpODOOFX's rf-mcp plugin and its odoofx-mcp overlay, with a session state tool (RPC connection, web session, unsaved form, write journal), passed 19 checks out of 19 through the real tools of rf-mcp 0.36, on Odoo 16 then on Odoo 19, read-only. Tooling of the private workshop, not in the PyPI package.
rf-test-agents is an open-source set of five AI agents for Robot Framework that plan, generate, heal, verify and document tests, checking the plan and every generated step against the real application through the rf-mcp MCP server, in Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.

SAPFX 0.8.3: end-to-end SAP test automation, from SAP GUI to APIs, open source
QA and SAP teams can automate their SAP regression tests with Robot Framework and an open-source library under the Apache 2.0 license. AI Cabra released SAPFX 0.8.3 on PyPI on October 5, 2026: 380 ready-to-use keywords for SAP GUI, SAP Fiori, OData and RFC/BAPI.
SAPFX is built for teams that test SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA and want tests the business can read, versioned with the code and replayed at every delivery. A single test can prepare its data through the API, act on the screen and check the result through an independent channel: a gap between what the screen shows and what the system stores gets caught instead of passing green.
Version 0.8.3 extends coverage to operational processes: background jobs and their spool, outbound IDocs tracked to their final status, SAP Fiori launchpad tile counters checked against the data behind them, and the SAP Fiori Elements preview of RAP services with no app deployed. For teams preparing for the end of mainstream maintenance of SAP Solution Manager 7.2, and of CBTA with it, on December 31, 2027, it is an open path to carry their scenarios forward.
The library rests on 3,152 unit tests and 95% code coverage. Its 381 reference scenarios were run live from July 12 to October 1, 2026 on four real SAP development systems: ABAP Platform 1909 and 2023, an SAP Build Work Zone site and the SAP Business Accelerator Hub sandbox. None of them is a customer system.
Getting started takes three steps: install the package with one command, for Python 3.10 or later and Robot Framework 7.4 or later; follow the quickstart guide, whose SAP Fiori step runs on the public OpenUI5 Demo Kit, with no SAP system; then browse “SAPFX in pictures”, six real hybrid tests with their code and screenshots. To migrate CBTA scenarios or wire the tests into a continuous integration pipeline, the AI Cabra team offers support on quote.

ODOOFX 0.1.0: Odoo regression test automation with Robot Framework
Integrators and teams evolving Odoo now have an open-source library to test their business flows through the API. AI Cabra released the first version of ODOOFX on PyPI on October 5, 2026: 30 keywords for Odoo's RPC channel, checked by 561 unit tests.
Every version upgrade and every added module can break a quotation, an invoice or an access right. ODOOFX lets teams write those checks once, in business language, and replay them at every delivery: read records, call business methods, prove the target database before acting. Writing is closed by default and opened explicitly; every write is logged with the field names, never their values.
The same library talks to Odoo over XML-RPC up to version 18 and over JSON-2 from version 19 on: a test written today carries through the migration. A first campaign on the sales quotation flow, 15 suites, ran 65 tests live on October 1, 2026 on two development instances, 29 on Odoo 16 and 36 on Odoo 19. None of them is a customer instance.
Getting started takes one command, for Python 3.10 to 3.14 and Robot Framework 7.4 or later; the keyword documentation is online. This first version opens a bootstrap phase: signatures may still change before 1.0, and driving the Odoo web interface is the next step. For a first project, the AI Cabra team answers through the site's contact form.
